Red Riding Hood

Tori.

When I originally embarked on this Red riding hood project, I envisioned long dark curls and shooting outdoors, however I just wasn't finding the look I was going for in some of the models that were interested in helping bring it to life. As luck would have it, a friend and fellow Photographer had a daughter that wanted some studio shots. I had the Red riding hood costume with me and without any expectations, we gave it a try.

From the moment she put the hood on, I knew I was on to something and after a few test shots I no longer needed to look any further than Tori! Below is the first processed shot, I took the shot in a dramatic direction with lots of vibrancy to bring it to life.

We continued with many different poses and played around with a fan to get the cape flowing, I wasn't sure what I wanted to do quite yet, however I knew I was going to do a composite. It took several tries to get the cape all the way out without affecting the hair. Below is the shot I choose for my first composite.

The finished composite image! It came together quite nicely and I was able keep all of my colors.

Another version, however I didn't spend nearly the time necessary to really blend the two together and too much time looking for just the right background to use. I intend on revisiting this later when winter releases its strangle hold on us!

A few more finished shots, with a little less processing.

We tried a few other poses after. Tori is a pleasure to work with!
